Also known as: Japanese Aralia, Spider's web, Glossy-leaved paper plant,
False castor oil

Origin: Japan and Korea 

Nursery Pot Size: 17cm

This leafy legend has beautiful, glossy green leaves and a great exotic plant to add to your collection. The large leaves of this beauty are enough to bring any room to life. 

Light: Happy in full sun or partial shade. 

Humidity: I can tolerate a less humid environment than some.

Water: Keep my soil moist, do not allow it to dry out. But make sure to keep me in a pot that allowed water to drain. 

Temperature: Normal room temperature is perfect.

Fertiliser: My growing seasons are spring to summer. Feed me with general houseplant fertiliser every fortnight or so during this period.

Toxicity: I am not toxic to both humans & animals, so perfect for houses with curious critters. 

A handy tip  - Like many plants, Japanese aralia is susceptible to a variety of aphids - just spray with neem oil if you see any on your plant.
