Origin: South America 

Nursery Pot Size: 13cm

The Aphelandra Squarrosa has a striking appearance that brings together deep green leaves with white stripes that resemble the markings of a Zebra, paired with beautiful bright yellow flowers. This beauty will add a pop of colour to any space but it will do particularly well in a warm, humid spot.

Light: A bright space, but not strong direct sunlight is best for me.

Water: Keep my soil moist at all times please, I require less watering throughout the winter.

Humidity: Treat me to a mist every now and then.

Temperature: Keep me above 14 degrees, please.

Fertiliser: Use fertilizers every other week during the spring and summer months.

Toxicity: I'm not toxic to pets - yay!

A handy tip - After flowering, you can remove the flower and stem.
