Monstera Adansonii

Also known as: Monkey Leaf, Swiss Cheese

Origin: Central America

Nursery Pot Size: 12cm or 6cm

This Monstera plant is the cousin to the cult classic Swiss cheese plant but is slightly rarer. Some people think the holes in the leaves look like monkeys faces which is why is it is often known as a Monkey leaf. Either way, its funky leaves are sure to make it a talking point when you have your friends over!

Light: I can happily live in low light but I will grow much faster in brighter light. Spending too much time in direct sunlight can scorch my leaves.

Water: I love regular misting of my leaves and a weekly watering but wait for my soil to dry out a little before giving me a big drink.

Humidity: My favourite environments are humid so I am happiest surrounded by other plants to help increase the humidity of the air around me.

Temperature: I am not too fussy as long as the temperature doesn't drop to below 10 degrees.

Fertiliser: Feed me through the Spring & Summer months with food fertiliser.

Toxicity: I am not a fan of humans or pets so keep away from me as I could make them poorly if ingested.

More info: You can propagate me by putting a stem and leaf-cutting in water.
