Origin: Mexico, West Indies

Most Dieffenbachias will grow from a bushy 3 feet to a stately 6 feet tall and will spread their large leaves from 1 to 3 feet wide. Individual leaves can be 12 inches long, that is why these plants are often called the "king of plants". If you're looking for a plant to grow into a large space, this baby is totally for you! 

Light: I like full to moderate shade. 

Water: Water moderately and apply a balanced liquid fertiliser monthly when in growth and keep just moist in winter.

Humidity: I enjoy a little spritz of water on my leaves.

Temperature: I like warmer climates 18°C to 25°C

Fertiliser: I like standard home plant food. 

Toxicity: I am harmful if ingested. Keep me away from curious pets.

A handy tip  - Sometimes the lower leaves on a dumb cane plant turn yellow and drop off. This is normal and not an indication of a problem. Snip off the yellowed leaves near the stem.
